    too late now, strugling to get that accsses. No luck thru "Terminal" - now I did find the right path (using Tab), but still (no suprise here) can't get into .conf

    Anyway, did You add the line witch smartsearch = 10 ?
    In my there is no entry that kind:

    Code:
    [ForegroundApplication]
    priority = 100

    [BackgroundApplication]
    priority = 0

    [PrestartedApplication]
    priority = -10

    [SpecificApplicationPriorities]
    sysuid = 90
    duihome = 80
    meego-im-uiserver = 70

    "With great power, comes great responsibility"
    You should not try to edit this configuration files if you don't know what are you doing. Seriously.

    I always said, ask to yourself: are you a power user, ir a noob? If you are a noob, don't mess with, and if you think you are power user, well, you are not, because you should already know your answers, don't need to request for help, you must be able to do it by yourself.

    Again, dudes, DON'T. And do not encourage others to use developer mode, terminal and the likes if they are not familiar with the stuff.

    yes, with great power comes great responsibility, but, with great community comes great support and with great OS comes great possibilities.
    Garret_PL, no, i didn't added that line, i just edited it.
    so, it was pre-existing though
    seems like smartsearch is not what eats your battery, and as Harianinm said, if you are not using developer mode and n9tweak, then, i am not sure you can get what's eating your battery, because you will need Conky to see what use most cpu time...and eventually, if there's conf for priority of that app...you can reduce it.

    Code:
    i still think that everyone should use terminal and open kernel and dev mode :D

    It's not a secret when somone is asking questions he would like to hear them answers - which means that he don't know that particulal stuff. Everyone uses "Terminal, Dev Mod" on their own responsibility. Someone is here to learn, others to give advices how to squize as much as You can from Your device(and those ones are doing it) - and as long as no one will pretend to be someone else it will be ok.
