I use mainly Linux as well for flashing the N900. But the Wiki page caught my interest in regards to flashing issues/difficulties with Windows 7 64-bit so I actually gave it a try. Written instructions were honestly a bit difficult for me to follow. But with enough patience and reading I can confirm that this is possible. I actually made a YouTube video on the preliminary steps that are to be done to ensure that you will be able to flash the N900 in Windows 7 64-bit. The YouTube video is already part of the Wiki (see this link in the Wiki).
