remove all the .jpg and .deb files from /home/user/

then install the .deb from that thread

as user in terminal type gallerybugx

reboot

now give it a few mins and see if everything works...

oh one more question, i know that might sound stupid to most of you , but how do i move a file which has a space in its name? like "bla bla.jpg" ? if i just type it like that i get an error

type bla then press tab for it to auto-complete

or

bla\ bla.jpg

well after following your steps i still face the exact same issue... no contacts, no images , no texts. i waited like 10 minutes after the reboot befor i first checked.

can you do in terminal as user:

cat /home/user/.config/user-dirs.dirs

again so we can see if gallerybugx really fixed the thing...

it doesn't look like gallerybugx fixed it try running it again and wait for it to finish before rebooting and then posting the revised screen here...
