how do i know its finished? it now says "there you go " and in the next line "exiting"

k then you might have to do it manually:

in terminal type:

- nano /home/user/.config/user-dirs.dirs [Remember to have nano installed first by going to settings -> security -> dev mode -> install the utilities

- now change xDG_VIDEOS_DIR="$HOME" to xDG_VIDEOS_DIR="$HOME/MyDocs/Movies"

now reboot and try again...

i did what you told me , and made the cat /home[..]user-dirs.dirs just after i changed the stuff, and it was there afer the reboot i have "xDG_VIDEOS_DIR="$HOME" again

would reseting my phone work ? my contacts and messages seem to be lost anyways =/

if you want to reset it; you can go ahead since you've lost your data...

just before resetting in terminal as user:

tracker-control -r

well i actually don't want to, but it's the only chance i have, isn't it ?

EDIT: i could just try to restore the settings befor i reset my phone couldn't i ? that way i might have a shot on keeping some of my data...

oh and a question about reseting tracker ... will this erease all my data ? and would i need to use it , even if i just use the "soft-reset" which keeps my data ?

If you use that command you'll loose all sms/mms, contacts, playlists and other stuff using tracker wich I'm not sure what is.

Did it myself a weeks time back and have only noticed the above mentioned things missing/deleted.

allright, i will first try it just with the "restore settings" option, and if that doesn't work... well i am pretty sure everything's löost at this point anyways, images and music is save and sound ^^ so wish me luck that at least this'll work ...
