For sake of completeness (HtheB heard it already on IRC):
http://maemo.cloud-7.de/Gallery-N900...d/n900_01.jpeg

Thing with "Samsung" on it is OneNAND. OMAP (CPU etc.) is under it, between OneNAND and PCB. On the other side of N900, we have chip with "toshiba" on it - it's 32 GB eMMC.

In other words: If I replace OneNAND with an 1GB one, I'll be done, right?

You'll still need to recreate partition structure on OneNAND, from mtd0 to mtd5.

The chip is 256MB OneNand plus 256MB DDR ram.

The chip is a Samsung but I suppose that one of these Micron chips is similar if not the same:
152 pin: http://media.digikey.com/pdf/Data%20...C%20Family.pdf
168 pin: http://www.google.it/url?sa=t&rct=j&...NPkIZA&cad=rja

He wants 1024MB ram (supposing Omap 3430 can support it), so you need a chip with 1024MB DDR and at least 256MB OneNand (but bigger is better).

I know a company (Microsemi) which produces PoP chip for Omap with 1G ram + 2G flash or 2G ram + 4G flash.

But I don't know if these models are compatible with Omap 3430

One month ago I have found something but I don't remember the direct link and now I have no time to do deep search on internet.

Furthermore it isn't clear if microsemi speaks about gigabyte or about gigabit.
A 4G-2G chip should be only 512MB flash and 256MB ram if values are gigabit.

The chip is Microsemi's MS29C2G24MAKLA1-XI

Definitely 256MB RAM and 512MB Flash, unfortunately.

Of course, Hurrian's point about recreating partition structure is absolutely valid - I forget about it (but it isn't roadblocker, AFAIUI?)

I read in Russian forum it is possible to change capacity even to 32GB:
http://forum.allnokia.ru/viewtopic.p...566&start=2715

User root_user had changed hynix H26M52002CKR to Toshiba THGBM1G8D8EBA12 .

Let those guys join the official forums, and share their thoughts about this!

What about the N950 eMMC?

hello,

I never look posts at n9/n950 forums, a shame.

it is very interesting what has done that guy from russia but as I see the 32gb is from an n97 and he says that his n9 is slower.

Do you think it is possible to upgrade our eMMC?

regards
