@vi_ or anyone else, do you know of any service (either self-hosted like owncloud/funambol or website) that provides multilevel tasklist/todo and can be reliably synched with one or more N900s?

FYI, I am adding an option to save the folder path as a category. This way, a tool like memotoo can be filtered by a category that represents the multi-levels.

Here is a new version. I added the internals to configure global settings for the application. The first setting controls whether or not to save the folder path for an item as a category. I plan on using this to organize my lists when using a service such as memotoo.

Access the settings from the home screen menu.
    • Enable or disable saving the folder as category
    • Select the path character
    • Apply the setting to all tasks that are in folders. Careful here. it may take some time. I didn't use a progress bar or anything. Will make it better later.

You can now access your tasks in folders via the external tool's category picker. Only categories that begin with the path separator are considered part of the path. Any other categories should remain preserved. There is currently no way to read a folder/category that was created externally.

Make sure you backup ~/.calendar/calendardb before upgrading! As new and more invasive features are added I would hate for a bug to screw up your databases!

Also, I used SyncEvolution to get my tasks to memotoo.

I discovered a regression in the last release where the filter clause from the views were no longer working. Here's a fixed version.

I also switched to QPixmapcache for dynamic image loading to try to improve performance.

Now that the repository's are available feel free to upload them there.
Saves having .deb's all over the forum.

So nice to see that you are still working on Maecaltasks. Thank you for your work jackburton!

I'm really dreaming about being able to sync with toodledo service though. I'm not a fan of memotoo and most of third party apps on win and linux syncs with toodledo. Then it would be perfect to be able to sync our tasks between mobile and pc.

Do you think that it would be possible? If you have some spare time to look at it, the api documentation is here http://api.toodledo.com/2/index.php .
Thank you again and keep the good work!

I wanted to bump this thread and let anybody following that I still plan to work on MCT. It has been slow lately, but I still have lots of ideas I would like to implement. Part of the slowdown is due to research and planning mainly. Some items I am trying to get resolved are related to the idea of moving what code I can to QtMobility so that I easily port the app (and easily maintain it) to N9, SailFish, and Ubuntu touch.

I'm so happy you are coding with the idea of porting the application to meego and sailfish in the future (also because in the meanwhile I've bought also a N9, still using my N900 as my main phone though, I can't leave the hardware keyboard ).
Thank you for your good work!
