Xenon flash is very rare function in phones these days, so I am pretty much interested in that, but none of the normal phones, for normal people. I have a K850, with xenon flash, and beat up until now every phone with LED flash.
Also, the OS (WP) is not okay for a camera phone, not even Android (missing the 2step camera button).
A phone with a camera like that should come with a dedicated OS, mostly for pictures.
If they build such a phone @ reasonable price, I will buy it.
So, is it worse than 808 on the camera HW&SW then?
I don't really know, I can't really say that, never played with a 808, and neither I played yet on the new EOS so I can't really say.
But I saw some pics taken with the EOS on Facebook, and they looked just average. Windows Phone will never be a good OS for CAMERA PHONES, the camera software is just so... average. I even bought a professional app for pictures but still... the quality is average, nothing special...
I think the 808 is much better because on Symbian the image pre and post processing was better (had a Sony U5 HD, and yes, that phone's camera was special, and it was running on Symbian). But before I can really compare them, I would really love to play on both of them (I didn't see the 808 in my town in any retail shop...).
After struggling with my A-GPS (died and haven't been able to get it back after phone died in power-save mode) and a tracker bug (got 3-4 SMS in rapid succession, then no SMS showed up. After restart all camera pics not showing up in gallery) over the last week, I am pretty pissed off at my N9. Patients for a Jolla is dwindling. iPhone 5S likely due this fall too. Checked out a friend's 1020 yesterday, it has the sleek N9 design, big screen, and the camera. Specs seem good. Big, but I think the hardware is nice. But Windows Phone and those stupid tiles. Not sure I can do it! Friend says he wants to put Sailfish on it, that seems like it could be quite a feat.
