    Hi guys,

I know that the N9 does not support USB OTG however does anyone know if it is possible to use the N9 to charge a device?

I don't have a USB OTG cable to test with so was hoping someone might be able to test this for me.

    Thanks

Just small things which can normally be charged over usb

Maybe another phone, a small gps unit or something similar.

I can charge N9 and browse all the files in it through my N8, but not the other way round.. mostly because the USB OTG cable I have fits only in the N8.

Just an update for anyone else wanting to know.

After buying a cable I can say that the N9 can not charge anything with a USB OTG cable.

But N900 via usb host-mode does , I charged my old samsung D900i , not completely but few minutes , and I'm sure it was charging because battery was so old that if I remove the charger phone goes off in 2 seconds .

usb host-mode for n9 is not developed yet

Of course it doesn't, that is because N9 operates in USB peripheral mode only altough the HW supports also the host mode.

I have read that there is some progress in setting N9 to host omde but the driver is not ready yet: http://forum.meego.com/showthread.php?t=4610

Sounds crazy, why should i charge other devices with my n9 battery, sens is dificult to replace n9 battry if bracked sune!
Connecting USB drivers for data transfer is okay and we need it...but charging is nonsense!
