windows 8 (the PC edition) is a fantastic operating system once you get used to it.
takes a couple of days and then the love begins.
it's also much lighter and faster than windows 7 (which is a good OS as well).
gives life to older systems than struggle to run windows 7.
I will vote AMD for president next time if I'm having any shares during next meeting.

Debian with LXDE is lighter and faster on my Rev 1 Raspberry Pi than windows could hope to be a on a quad core 4gb ram desktop, and the best thing? it's not Microsloth.
the only reason that 8 runs better than 7 is that after more than 20 years, MS have finally realised that you can actually optimize code

I liked Ubuntu until they started with that Unity crap. I'm not sure why they think a tablet-style UX is suitable for desktop machines with a keyboard and mouse. Also, it seems some Linux distros are becoming as bloated as Windoze these days. I suppose that's the price of attracting new users. If my time had no value, I'd switch to Arch Linux.

Windows 8 available to buy starting tonight, who will install it tonight?
OK!, thought so...no one
But I will install my sec OS (Ubuntu) as usual.. I can't live without Ubuntu either!
