Which process is responsible for the menu that is opened by pressing the power button?

It seems to have stopped working on my device also (the button itself is ok - double clicking works fine)

well, i can find process "/sbin/mce" in list of running process. any idea why it might not work? is there another process needed?

[Edit] killing this process and executing it again fixes the issue - thanks

I suspect that there is something wrong with the hardware.

I just bought a new N900 from ebay - this device is just too good for me to replace it with some other one, so currently waiting for it and will post new findings.

freemangordon - which repositories do you recommend to use? i will start a new OS installation from scratch with the new device - it's about time to clean a lot of junk i installed and removed over the years
