    Yes.

    The reason I considered removing them was for sailfish since I have resolutions which are 3.7 and 2.3 and those clearly don't fit but I guess I will have to find another way out

    I've had this problem before, but I can't remember how I fixed it though.

    @SteveYoungs check all partitions space, maybe something wrong with partition table.

    Yep, thanks. Seems I had run out of inodes. Clearing out some cache files has fixed it.
