I would also suggest to give N nicknames in prefered order ...

1 < N < count(images)

1st one will get count(images) points
2d : count(images) - 1
3d : count(images) - 2
etc..

That won't work. We need to know by then what the October topic is and the winner chooses the topic so the voting must be finished by the end of the month.

Looks good but may confuse a lot of people. One vote each is simpler.
