Jolla smartphones available from DNA Stores from 11 December
    10.12.2013
Jolla smartphones will go on general sale in DNA Stores from 11 December. That is also the day when the 'second chance' pre-bookers can collect their phones if they have selected a DNA Store as the collection point. "At this point, only a limited number..

Not only that - but i am 2nd wave pre-order but selected home delivery upon payment - not the DNA pickup alternative.

To sum it up - fastest way to get Jolla would have been 2nd wave preorder pickup DNA store. If they only would have told that.

I don't think they knew it in advance. My conclusion is that Jolla or the logistics subcontractor is having some kind of problems with customer deliveries and the deliveries were delayed at least a week from what was the original plan.

My phone is now in the same town as me. Should be able to pick it up after work, unless the inbred workers at my local post office manage to be themselves again.

Entertainingly JollaHQ have made a heroic effort to try and make it look like this was always the plan. Their latest tweet on this subject says:

"As you pre-ordered you will be the first ones to get the Jolla on your home market."

Note what has been carefully tacked on to the end there.

No problem for me. If there is a problem and i have to wait another week i am fine with that. But then they really should get ahead of that problem and at least tweet it. Alas i want my phone before Xmas and it was said 3-4 weeks.

The only major problem i have is that information policy really seems not to be their strongsuit. IF you really could pick it up @DNA 2 weeks ahead of postal delivery (my status is still paid) it would have been a very very helpful if they have said "fastes way to get your Jolla is DNA).

Am i confused or is that tweet a change in policy?

Jolla: You have a guaranteed device by having pre-ordered it. Delivery information will follow soon.

Cause that doesnt mean anymore: 1st & 2nd wave preorders will be served first.

Thats what they used to say about the 0€ option before. They just magicly made it cover the 100€ and 40€ pre-orders as well.

Hate that they slipping into the usual misinformation semantic tricks of big corporate PR. I at least expected them to become big first.
