So true, I should have checked the content of the update before starting download the update via the GUI thingy.
There should be an option for the automatic updater to not boot the device when there's no kernel update and restarting services is enough...
I doubt that Microsoft (as only Microsoft may release official images for the N9) will do that!
Well, any company (including Jolla, and except perhaps Nokia) could potentially buy the license and rights for Maemo/Harmattan and make an official image, but especially as we talk about Microsoft, we know it won't happen even in the wildest meegoist dreams.
