First time Whatsup user here. 1.1.6 has been working top notch since it was released by Cepi. Not going to update to 1.1.7 Before 1.1.6 I tried 1.1.4, didn't work for me.
Have been using now N9 since my Lumia 930 is at warranty repair.

I'm a user from Switzerland and whatsup (1.1.7) also doesn't work with my N9. I notice that whatsapp-purple (what's app for Pidgin) doesn't work too ! I don't investigate in this case, but it seems like that what's app change something.

Ah, just wondering.. If for some people wifi works while gprs doesn't (or vice versa, it doesn't matter, really) could it have something to do with the particular server whatsup is connecting to? Is there a way to force the program to connect to a specific server?

Whatsup switchs between c.whatsapp.net and c2.whatsapp.net every time you try to login. I've readed s40 source and couldn't find anything different (except web login wich I don't care at the moment).
I need more time to check more things.
BTW: there's no changes in login since 1.1.3, so downgrading/upgrading will not fix the problem.

It seems like some passwords are being rejected (maybe old or weak?). Some people have had success by registering again and receiving a new password.
Then someone should try removing account and trying again.
I have 2 accounts working perfectly in whatsup, one in my n9 and another in my jolla, and I don't get this issue.
Before 1.1.6 I tried 1.1.4, didn't work for me.
