instead of a status bar, i would really like to see all information (date, time, battery, wifi, network, etc.) on the top of the events screen, wich is pretty useless at the moment.

this would be the perfect replacement imho, as you can reach it from everywhere with just a little swipe from the bottom.
i know, theres the peek-gesture, but this works only, if you are "in" an app... the event-gesture works from everywhere. also the date is missing in the peek-view.

why cant front screen and event view be one and the same?

basically, what I want. as soon as I have entered device code... the jolla should auto connect 3G/4G and auto launch browser. we all have different use cases

Good Idea. But I think it's easier to buy one. Like if jolla enter stock exchange and do a hostile take over.

plus, how many times have jolla said that the buyers of jPhone l should be able to influence decision for next devices...

I think that's actually a Gecko bug, it happens on the Android version of Firefox as well.

So anything that doesn't follow the traditional (and in fact quite stupid) desktop paradigm isn't a real desktop? If you prefer working with a desktop like that, great, but that doesn't make them more 'real' than other ones. I quite like what GNOME Shell has become by now, even though I still use some extensions to modify the functionality - then again, using extensions instead of hacks to modify the functionality of the desktop is entirely the point. (And in case the GNOME developers really **** things up, there is always Enlightenment. Which could actually also be used as another UI for Sailfish considering it's so unbelievably lightweight.) Of course I'm going a bit off-topic here.
