    Thanks, Zeta. The rest of your post was even better but I hope I can say "me too" without quiting all of it.

    I think the biggest problem is that when you present a few constructive ideas like that to say, "Sailfish is great and here is how it could be even better", some people (prefer to?) read it as "Sailfish sucks and here is why".

    There is a lot more I could say but I think the most important things have already been said. Let us focus on the positive. There have been some really good ideas presented here (I particularly like Leinad's, to name but one). Jolla, pick any random three and make your creation grow to new heights.

    But I guess that's the current state of Jolla, it still is being shaped by the community feedback. I still remember the Jolla I got on December 23rd 2013 and it's quite different to Jolla I got today.

    If you look at the OS that android began with and it's current one their almost completely different now, they had to change so much.

    Jolla got a lot of things right from the start compared to first releases of other mobile OS's, but it's not perfect and still needs A LOT of work, but we are all in the same boat sailing together and improving the experience as we go along.

    Yeah. Lots of things are excellent and jolla has a brilliant OS. Still, its more Fun to talk about changes and improvments.

    The problem is that these 'constructive ideas' are usually written as "Sailfish is great but here is what you should do as I the single user know everything ever". There is an enormous difference between saying "I think putting this information more clearly on the lock screen would be useful, because x and y" and "you should put this information on the lock screen because it sucks", even though the essence is the same. One is constructive criticism, the other is just being a ****. I'm not saying you can't tell someone that what they made is crap, but if you do, you shouldn't expect them to listen to your reasoning as to why they should change it. After all, you just told them they made crap.

    Two examples from TJC:
    • https://together.jolla.com/question/...r-lock-screen/ - all I see is "it's 2014/2015 this lock screen is **** I don't like it C--- wouldn't use again", nothing constructive about it - even though it brings up a good point that the lock screen could show more information without necessarily losing the purpose of a lock screen (although that has been discussed to death already in countless other requests, which makes this post even worse)
    • https://together.jolla.com/question/...-sftp-account/ - no "it's 2014/2015 and there's no sFTP account option in the Settings what the **** is this ****", no nonsense, just a simple request
    (As a side note to get even more off-topic, what's the point in these word filters anyway? When I see asterisks, I count them and guess which word could have been used. Why not just show it?)

    To be fair to that sftp account complaint, Jolla are very late in finalising the accounts api. We're missing SIP, LinkedIn, Evernote, Flickr and any number of third party plugins because of that.

    @nthn,
    Sorry but I think the problem in both cases you link is your own interpretation. I do not see anything offensive in either of the two requests. Both are equally constructive, courteous and have their merit. If you support or oppose any of them, please try to stay on an equally factual level and make the world a better place.

    True, but I think "this "Lock Screen" is a permanent nuisance due to its uselessness" is actually a rather useless statement itself (it adds nothing of value to the post), and it definitely won't get the issue resolved sooner. Admittedly, I think I was more frustrated with that request because of the user artificially bumping it more than the actual content.

    Edit: in fact, it's probably the title of the request, with its smug sneery undertone.

    Do you think jolla will fix the maps application to this update? It's not possible to install with latest sail.

    Please vote here please:

    Any other native map solution available meanwhile?
