There were others on twitter, so really not seing where the singular is coming from, this was an example of most hailed on tmo dev and he did get one (sure, some pro maemo devs are still waiting, it's not about being able to use emulator, you need to be invited to the special club, or screw potential users, they are pro anyway). Anyway, stay safe
Are yyou sure that those are not people who get devices as first wave? Because most of people i see here and on twitter are already those who got devices shipped for them as they are first wave :P
Again you blamed me to jump to conclusions and not reading. But I saw one example from you and those "some" mysterious ppl you now mention. And yet most well known devs had not say a word
Another thing that occurred to me regarding this "Sailfish as a product" idea. If you want to showcase how fantastic your new OS is, would it not be better to demonstrate it by proving that you do not need a custom HW to go with it? In other words, take a well-known existing device, load your OS onto it and show how much better it is than the OS the device originally came with. Making your own HW just sends mixed messages.
i'm not sure that will help at all, as every OS has to be tailored to the hardware you want to run it upon, how difficult that is being highly depended on how well support your OS is by third party driver vendors. sailfish works really well on the jollaphone because jolla put a lot of time and effort into selecting a broadly compliant set of hardware features, then sinking a lot of time into ensuring that broadly compliant hardware functioned really well with jolla, by working around the peculairities of various hardware configs and driver bugs.
"hey, look how well sailfish performs on this Nexus5!"
"great, does it work on anything other than a single hardware configuration from 2013?"
Andso, Jolla's invitation has arrived into email inbox:
We are happy to let you know that we are almost ready to ship your Jolla Tablet! There is just one final step for you to go through: we now invite you to complete your contribution in our pre-order online shop before or on the 19th of October 2015*.
* We are inviting contributors to the shop and shipping the Tablets according to the chronological order of contributions made on Indiegogo, and shipping only if the order has been completed following the instructions above. It's OK if you come to complete your order past the indicated date, but this means that we will release your priority and ship the tablet to you after you complete your order at a later time.
Mayby the firm don't go down before the tablet is on my hands. There is hope

Can you estimate what was your ranking in the set of the first 1000 pcs?

I was at the end of 189$ perk, as far as I recollect somewhere less than 100 was left...
edit: At 19.11.14 11:19 seems to have arrived a "thank you" message from IGG, although it doesn't tell anything in great precision...

Ok, thanks for the information. I'm about at the same ranking but haven't at least yet received an invitation...
I don't think it is a charger issue. Luckily after 4 full discharge/charge cycles the displayed percentage stays at 100% after disconnecting and the battery restistance test passes now.
I think the battery was exhaustively discharged during/before shipping. Not sure if it is now permanently damaged...
