I would guess that too. Seems like a lot of effort to open all the boxes and reflash when they can just sell them as being able to run Android apps already.
The same goes for the tablet. We don't know what image the factory used for the tablets originally. I wouldn't be surprised if the factory actually installed Android on them and then Jolla reflashed delivered ones at Hong Kong before sending them to customers.

that is about what topic doesn't look good ...rather....
I think the asian holder of all these tabs has been notified of SOMETHING by the Jolla HQ. (which isn't being disclosed to anyone else) ...since ....why else sell off all these Jolla tabs outside the auspices of Jolla Central? There MUST have been signed contractual obligations betwixt the two (Jolla and the asian manufacturer) and said contracts MUST have been cancelled if these photos and the asain supplier selling them independently are truly legit (which doesn't bode well...)
On the other hand this seems a good opportunity for people to get a tab...(bodes well...)
On the third hand (If you have 4 arms this is applicable..) it reaaalllllly sucks for people who already have thrown down their money for a tab which is in that asian suppliers photo...and now must throw down the money AGAIN if they want what they have already paid for...(assuming that Jolla doesn't step up and honour it's consumer obligations..that is...) (which again doesn't bode especially well....)
