so basically it's not possible to scam via crowedfunding then? So I can sell the world and deliver a peanut I say it's legal but still a scam
Jolla performed a scam, wether it's was intensional or if they scamed themselves at the same time Is another question we never will get the answers to.
Incompetence, could be in the mix as well but I have no clue. Let's focus on the scam. To me the word mean saying something but do something else while you benefit and others lose. It has not to be intensional at all.
so basically it's not possible to scam via crowedfunding then?
Did no want to imply that
Even your genius conspiracy theory antti being the last one sitting at his home laptop on kaymen islands, having payed the last leaving sailors to keep silent and continuosly trolling us to keep the rest of the humongous financing round all for himself is not completely to be ruled out from my limited knowledge.
And i'll be the first one to sincerly apologize to everyone in form of a sushi-voucher if i may have mislead with my puny optimistic assessment of the puzzle.
"so basically it's not possible to scam via crowedfunding then?"
Gotta be careful saying that where I live man...
crows and ravens are EVERYWHERE here ...
thick as ants...
and they are veryyyyy smart.
and they can hold a grudge...
as far as "crowdfunding" ...
naw not possible to scam via...
as the above pichlo mentions incompetence as the leading factor...rather than scam...
also there appears to be alot of very very fine print with these crowdfunding methods and services...
Now ...perhaps it is possible to scam people via "crowdREfunding campaigns" ....
but along with the whole incompetence thingy...
no one pipes up to say they are dumb as posts...
but a whole lotta "dumb" gets flung around as an excuse....
"Sorry...we went tits up...becaaauuuseee....we are dense as tree stumps...no money back...no product...no accountability...we gone...bye bye..."
I never ever ever hear anyone say that...
but it sure is the sum total of a hell of a lot of enterprises and they don't need to be crowdfunded to do that to investors...full corporations, industries, businesses do it too...there is no special club to join...this behaviour has been going on for a long time now....
and has become accepted...
but I sure do hear about how brilliant people are...
Jolla officially encourage us to speculate so I think its time to step up the game.
I'm Batman. Got it, kinggo?
I think about 98% of earths population is pretty dumb( me included here)
1% is smart. And the Last percentage is brilliant!
So in this case of Jolla tablet only the 1% the brilliant got the tablet. Some say it's luck, other say it's faith. I say it's pure brilliance to put the order in right time, in right place with right memory size!
On the other hand, atleast 50% probobly more would say that they are brilliant
Bytheway...Jolla used the word "suprises" not suprise...so we we will get more than one thing or several options.
Could be an invitation to Jolla office and free beers, several of them. Might not be hw or sw but an experience.
i want one of those tablets that someone don't want.
I think you people are having a hard time understanding what has occurred.. in your minds you think you got screwed.
take a step back and look at things right now!!!
We have just gotten , to the masses ,an operating system, on many, many pieces of hardware, out to the public!!!! when someone uses these devices an their buddies use these devices,
Things should look up for Jolla|Sailfish in the long run.
This is exactly what needed to happen . so you folks that are happy with your devices need to sound off.
And Jolla needs to rectify the the returns or whatever very soon
so that we can all work together on this GREAT project. even though im not a dev/contributer , i would like to see this project makeit big time !! so stop with the negativity Please!!
I want to see Jolla make it and break it but you have to deserve it.
Huh?
Sorry Dave, but I'm not sure I follow. You want to see Jolla make it, but also break it? Is this either double talk or some version of a saying that isn't translating well?
I think we mostly want Jolla to do well, that's why a lot of us supported the crowdfunding. And all of us that are upset, we'd like some resolution that makes sense to us one way or the other.
Words like fraud, scam, et al... doesn't mask the fact that a lot of bigger companies have failed at crowdfunded projects. Doesn't make it right, doesn't make the anger less important. Just that it's a sad, sad outcome sometimes.
