Yeah, I have a feeling Turing have potential to give us a scam with epic proportions.
I think Jolla doing the right thing and not promoting the cooperation too much arm.
But let's hope the can pull a rabbit out of the hat and deliver something.
For once, I agree with you completely on something. It's almost certainly not gonna happen, but sure would be cool. And since I'm in for exactly $0.00, I can comfortably sit back and watch.
Perhaps Tabletgate helped me not to get too excited with wild hope and plunk down much more than 200-some bucks on a Turing pre-order.

Wow. I really hadn't noticed many (or actually, any) of his posts alluding to this, and I've been reading hundreds (thousands?) of his posts over the last few years.
I did a search for "sweden" in posts by Dave999, and came up with a grand total of 32 posts. And in fact, most of those are replies to posts where the word "Sweden" is quoted. It's only going back to posts from 2009 to 2010 that I can find any where Dave says anything that really implies that he's in Sweden, and even then, it's never really concrete.
But Dave has been consistent all these years. Consider this post from 2009:

I highly doubt that. He's far too cool and awesome to be from Earth.
You barely speak English, Dave. Don't go around correcting folks when we need translations for some of your posts.
But since we've gone there, I shall rephrase: Please report your findings, impressions and do so with this forum. Your findings shall be a welcome thing as opposed to the cyclic rants.
