Works for me out of the box, same ssh version as oenone.

Yes, just tried it.

(I was going to say there was a problem, but it was "minimised" as the screen was off when I connected and I had a lot of applications running)

this one not, but it should be not so hard for you to create similar application for pam. the only problem can be /etc/pam.d/sshd in refhashlist

I did not have much use for this kind of app but it's just so cool I had to test it anyway. The only thing I could possibly suggest is left-right swipe to deny/accept instead of buttons.

A bit more useful app would be an easy SSH on/off switch. Ideally a Settings plugin. Is there one already?

disabling ssh access is just

enabling is setting any non-empty password. Simple enable/disable switch is not possible.

sshd started in system services, it can't be controlled by user with no root.
