I'm bidding on british ebay for a nokia 770 (it's something like 50€ cheaper than buying from germany) and I started wondering about the charger. It's said to be a AC-4 but is it normal to have X instead of E (europlug) in the ones sold in britain?

And secondly, I suppose there isn't any electricity differences (I'm a noob when it comes to electricity), so I can just go and buy a local charger and plug that in if the plug isn't compatible, can't I?

The voltage is the same (230V) (in any case the charger can take 100-240V), just get a 5V Nokia-compatible charger that can deliver at least 800-900 mA (or get an adapter for the one you get with the 770).
