Dear all,

when charging the N800 while turned off, the display shows a message whole time, notifying about the charging process.

Is there a possibility to change this behavior (keeping the display switched off)?

I just boot to Home screen, plug it in and lock the screen, to avoid the screen from coming on while charging. Takes maybe an extra 20 or so seconds.

Good workaround, I do the same, but I would prefer if the device isn't switched on. No other way?

Not that I've come across. The screen also comes on when you insert/take out a 3.5mm headphone jack, even when the screen and keys are locked. I just figured it was part of that goofiness. My N800 is only off if I need to reboot or if I've actually run the battery all the way down, which isn't *too* often. Took me a few times of discovering my tablet dead to get in the habit of putting it in offline mode when I'm not using it.

Now I just charge it at night and it's ready when I get up.
