guys what u think about the camera ? i think its ok (below average).
It was never going to have a great camera, its a low budget device and from that perspective I too think the camera is ok.
The FOV on the selfie-cam is better than the Jolla1's, but its performance in different lighting situations seems to be about on par with the Jolla1 (which is fairly poor by modern standards).

im just sharing my experience mate, at this price this is a great device but the thing is many people have keen interest in this device so they should know about it.
I am just waiting for it to be sold on a proper website that would ship to UK! And I'm afraid I might need to wait for quite a while.
Same here. I have hardly found a way to import this phone to my country. To do this, the phone has to be in the US before 12th of August. However, I cannot get response for a simple question from the seller for 2 days.
Re: Camera
As I further look at pictures, I wonder if postprocessing is the culprit. Output looks dull and less saturated with prominent noise (better said artefacts I think), as if a little over sharpened.
It feels like the picture seems to be processed a shade better with camera utilities in some android applications. But the dynamic range looks to be the same as stock camera output, so probably a sensor limitation there.
Looking at the sensor datasheet (OV8858), output is indicated as 10bit RAW. May be, just may be, if the raw output can be directly saved and post processed, compressed image output (like jpeg) might look better. Wonder if there is any possibility to shoot raw!
