The N800 is the first Linux UI I've ever liked. I've been using various unix UI's for years (well, 20 years actually), and the only one I ever liked until now was Nextstep/OS-X. But, the N800 seems to go a long way to giving the same degree of tight integration, instead of just being a thin flashy veneer over ... nothing of substance what so ever (Windowmaker, Enlightenment, etc.).
It seems to me that a desktop version of the N800 UI would be rather nice. Obviously it would have to support multiple open windows at once, and be scalable to multiple screen dimensions ... but other than that, I think it would be rather interesting to see the N800 UI as a Linux Desktop GUI.
Any thoughts on either how to do it, or how well it would work?
