Please, start by reading the Wiki -- http://www.internettablettalk.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page#Communication

Re: Headphones for the Nokia 810

Headphones will work, but if you are using a wired hands-free (ie. headset with mic), then it may be limited to the Nokia ones. I've been using a set Panasonic headphones with no problems for a...

Re: A2dp Nokia N810

Yes, BT headsets can be used (and the BT icon switches to a headset icon to indicate when it is connected to a BT headset), but you won't get A2DP sound without the workaround from...

Re: A2dp Nokia N810

The N810 will connect to a Wifi access point and wirelessly to your mobile phone via BT to connect to a GPRS/EDGE/3G/3.5G network (the latter is something the iPhone and iPod Touch cannot do)

as...

Re: Telescopic 3.5mm FM Antenna for N800

Considering that portable FM radios are cheap these days, and the last thing you'd want is your iT sitting somewhere where it could meet grease/concrete with kids running around, etc, why not just...

Re: Is there a Microsoft word program compatible with this tablet?

You bought an Internet Tablet without first checking to confirm if there were document readers???

Here's my suggestions:

FBReader is an ebook reader that does a pretty decent job of handling my...

Re: Nokia N800 discontinued?

FWIW, the Newton community in NewtonTalk is still pretty much alive and kicking, even though the Newton got 'Jobbed' back in 1998 - 10 years ago.

I've noticed that so many people go into a...

Re: Nokia N800 discontinued?

Yes, as mentioned the N810 is targeted at a different market base. To be honest, I think the N800 is more a geek device than the N810.

Why? Take for example the GPS and keyboard. Geeks are...

Re: Nokia N800 discontinued?

Again, that is not true. The N800 was designed to be priced lower down the scale, with the N810 being a higher-end device (GPS, smaller form factor, hardware keyboard) priced higher up the scale.

Re: [Video mplayer] What a difference conversions makes.

The Nokia Converter doesn't have a sound normalization option, which is why I raised an enhancement request for it.

There are two converters that I use:

Re: Sports Tracker?

The reason why Sports Tracker was never planned for the iT was because most users are unlikely to tote the iT around on a run/cycle due to its weight and bulk, whereas a mobile phone is usually...

Re: My little review of N810

I agree. Is it just me, or have we just had a huge insurgence of people who bought the NIT without first doing their homework and then blaming it on the tablet?

Kolyan2k, pray tell, where in the...

Re: unfair review?

Let me debate that point for point :)

1. It's not about whether it is a Shelby or a Ferrari. My point was that you don't buy a sports car and then comment that it's not very good off-road. Just as...

Re: How to update Flash 9 plugin?

I agree. As much as I rant about people who complain that Nokia should upgrade old users to their latest platforms, this is a problem that breaks one function what all of us bought our tablets for,...

The Nokia Internet Tablets were never meant...

On that note, WeBot works as advertised.

Re: N810 vs. Ipod Touch

Nah, I'd recommend getting the N800 and spend USD150 on 2 16GB A-Data Class 6 SDHCs. How does 30GB of media space grab you? On the downside, battery life on video playback is significantly lower than...

Re: Video conversion - NIT VC vs N800 VC / Canola vs Media Player

Whoa, hang on there.

Fact is, the MP4s created by NITVC are fine. I like the fact that it plays back on the Media Player. Canola has been running terribly slowly on my system recently, since I...
