If it's a capacitive screen with a hardware keyboard, why would you really need a stylus? Same for a dpad. It's effectively how I use my n810 now. The only time I need the stylus or dpad are for ui...

A single purpose device may outperform the n810 at the task it was specifically designed to do. The point of the n810 is that it does more that a stand-alone gps receiver or an ipod touch, etc.

The iPod touch will have better video smoothness since it's pushing 1/2 the pixels w/200MHz more processor. The web browser isn't bad either. The n810 may be overkill for what you're purchasing this...
