As far as I can currently tell, Conboy won't be portable in it's current form. Depending on the new device (Do I have it? Do I want to use it?) I will consider writing a Qt/QML version from scratch....

That's not the same.

This is planned for the CSSU, Jaffa already made some algorithms to place the items in portrait mode the same way they were in landscape mode, they just need to be coded...

The important thing to remember is when the n900 hardware adaption is complete (e.g. most/all hardware is fully supported) it doesn't matter what UI is runs on top.

Nokia need to be careful here; there are certain tech journos and bloggers who will 'review' Meego on N900 as if it were the finished article.... Remember Eldar Murtazin's damning preview of the N8?...
