14.1's hildon-desktop is the same as 14's, so it's probably just tracker or some other CPU heavy app indexing when you noticed it :)

Same for me, the CSSU Transitions Tuner has 0.00 value for App Menu Blur, scroll speed & Parallax no matter what I set it to, they reset back to 0 when I start the tuner again. I have no idea what...
