In the UK and now works a treat. Had some help from Mr_Bridger. Just re-iterate his advice - ask Vodafone UK to disable then enable MMS. They can do this whilst you are on the line.

Already been talking to frals about this issue but we can't figure out what's wrong. :(

Thought I should do one last check with the Maemo community....

Has anyone encountered a problem with sending picture messages (I can receive just fine), where it says "proxy authentication required"?

Hi folks

I have uninstalled fmms but i am still left with a mms connection in apn which i cannot delete, any quick fixes to remove it?

Either remove it with fAPN or by doing the following in X-Term:

Reset all settings:
gconftool-2 -R /apps/fmms|grep apn
Should return: apn = xxxx
gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /system/osso/connectivity/IAP/xxxx
gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/fmms
