I cannot nail the correct rom sets, tried everything already (decrypting roms with different programs, repack them, different settings in romrc).

The idea is to package it in a proper .deb, and follow the policy to place the binaries (in /opt/ I think, or wherever).

Within the tar archive, there is a folder called .gngeo (dor at the beginning), inside that folder there is a file called gngeorc. That folder should go to /home/user , not MyDocs, because gngeo emu...

deinstall gngeo from the app manager.
The tar command uncompresses a folder under /home/user/gngeo, it does not install anything in a normal way, you won't see gngeo installed in the app manager....

Are you using the .gngeorc configuration I have posted?
Should work as default with the screen I posted in the video, no extra params to get a screen that big.
