I made a very simple player which uses the exact same pipeline as panucci does and I can't seem to get it to crash, perhaps you'll have some luck......

I'll make sure to add support for the maemo media player backend in the next release so you'll have a choice but for the moment we only have gstreamer support.

I just checked and it seems I messed up, only the gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-mad package was available in Diablo extras, I promoted the missing packages just now...
Try doing an "apt-get update"...

You can use the following command to make sure you're using the Diablo extras: grep -r extras /etc/apt 2>&1 | grep diablo
If there's no output, then you're not.

Which release/distro are you using specifically? Please keep in mind that if you're using the latest code in the git repo, it's not guaranteed to be stable and especially now things might be broken....
