Re: Ren'Py ported to n900
Ah I see. Are you familiar with using the terminal? What you can do is copy Katawa Shoujo into any location on your phone that you can, then open the terminal (X Terminal), and do
cp...

Re: Ren'Py ported to n900
Hello, I no longer have my n900, but iirc you just need to copy Katawa Shoujo (or whatever game) into /opt/renpy, and then open the renpy program, select your game as a project, and launch the game...

Re: [Announce] EasyList for N9/N950
Hi,
I might be wrong, but it looks like the link in OP for the website php code isn't up to date, and is from before 2-way-sync was added? If so can you post an updated link? Thanks! :)

Re: [APP REQUEST] Blue Maemo for N9
Not having bluemaemo is really chafing me as well =/ if no one gets on this I may eventually give it a shot. I've already downloaded the source code, but I'm in a busy period now so I probably won't...

Re: accessing N9 thru SSH over wifi
Uh, guys, if you're on 3G you're almost certainly under a NAT. You simply cannot reliably ssh (or connect in any other way without a proxy or some trick) to your phone or any other device if you're...

Re: Nokia N9 vs Galaxy S2
Almost certainly. Still, as the old adage goes, it's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all. Try as I may, I cannot love the S2 ;)
Edit: Of course, if Nokia keeps its...

Re: Nokia N9 vs Galaxy S2
In Malaysia they are about equally priced, but as you say the Galaxy clearly has the better hardware specs. Still, if you want some reasons why folks like me chose the N9, here are some.
OS...

Re: N9 is here! Personal experiences wanted
In my experience its not the number of open applications that matters, unless you're running high-CPU games and such. It has more to do with background syncing. Since the N9 has pretty good battery...

Re: N9 is here! Personal experiences wanted
Regarding lag, it exists but it's far from intolerable imo. Things are usually _very_ fluid but if you have enough things syncing in the background at a time the animations may lose their usual...

Re: N9 is here! Personal experiences wanted
N9 owner for a little less than a week now. Overarching impression: it's not perfect, but I think it's the closest damn thing to perfection I've ever held in my hand - and that includes the N900,...

Re: Google+ client/photo sharing
Picasa shares the same storage as G+ now, so uploading to Picasa == uploading to G+, in the sense that all photos uploaded via Picasa will appear under "your albums" in G+. That's what I'm using now...

Re: N9 owners: answer questions & get help!
By the way, I don't suppose an identi.ca client exists for N9/Meego Harmattan yet? I couldn't for the life of me find one, and it's funny because lots of Meego-related folks are denting on identi.ca.

Re: Paging Mr. Valerio Blue Maemo for N9 please
I'd be happy to pay for the app too, it was a great app, though I hope it'd remain free software even if we need to buy it. I wonder how difficult it is for a third party to pick this up if Mr...

Re: N9 owners: answer questions & get help!
Hi guys, hope this hasn't been asked before (I've done some digging, didn't find it answered). I bought an N9 some days ago and the guy at the store told me that I shouldn't charge my N9 overnight....

The problem:
Basically Maemo's Matchbox WM is extra-strict with certain keyboard input related window parameters - it requires...

Re: App that runs on emulator segfaults on device?
obvyst: I didn't have a problem with a hello world app. As above noted you need to make sure you compile for the right target. There should be two possible targets - X86, which runs on the emulator...

Re: N900 cant read loads of data - why?
Mine only indexes the first time (and yes it takes a good amount of time). But if you close it before it's done indexing then it'll be at it again the next time you open it. Try bringing up the media...

There are a number of twitter clients in the software manager. I use Mauku (because I use Identi.ca), which isn't brilliant but it works more or less.
