Re: Where does N900 store playlists?

Re: Where does N900 store playlists?

There are 2 kinds of playlists the "normal" media player understands:

Internal format:
There are a couple of text files in the mafw-playlists directory.
The first files (numbers 1-5) are used...

Re: Possible to upload to FTP and edit a html file

So far, I have been using:

Not all hosters allow ssh access, though.

Alternativly, you can use either gFTP or any other app to...

Re: Community Driven "Appstore"

Such a system is already in place, seperated into 2 parts:
The first is called garage (or app manager on your device).
The second is called "paypal".
IMO it would be better to get the garage...

Re: Apple's mission to control everything...

To beat the dead horse once again:
Sure, apple has done a good job at "getting stuff done for the masses" (i.e. simple user interface), but their buisness model not only relies on "do only what i...

Re: So "Hacking the N900"

This might qualify as a nice hack:

Re: [Poll] Which desktop music mgmt/sync software?

I use Amarok to play music, but I refuse to use it to sync music to my n900. At least the vanilla version does not have more features than any normal file browser + vim.

Ever since I brought my...

Re: Why are there so many hate/useless threads?

Well, take a look at, for example, the "user" reviews at amazon. Most of them are written (and pushed) by ppl working for either the company manufactoring that product or their competition.
And why...

Re: Pyrecipe where do i find new recipes??

Trouble for me is that, up to now, I've been using some recipe websites that hopped onto the social network train and insist on using their own ******ed "store online and share" manager. Export is,...

Re: PR1.2 Privacy breach?

Haha.
Remember google? Using their streetview cars to record private WLAN data?
Probably not illegal either, but on such a big scale... seriously.
And their response?
"It was an accident and we...

Re: Has anyone else's N900 become significantly hotter after the PR 1.2 update?

I did a manual upgrad with the flasher, including a flash of the emmc and my n900 is about as warm as it ever was.
No fancy apps installed (yet) and the reindexing did not make it significantly...
