never mind...
for some strange reason the sound files were missing...no purple folder in /usr/share/sounds so I just grabbed the pidgin source and copied the sound files from that to...

Hi...

Anybody had any issues with pidgin not playing any sound notifications at all?
Sending IM, receiving, contact online or offline...no sounds notifications.

problem is this fix works for a day then the ssl error comes back and you have to re-do it again to get pidgin and/or haze plugin for conversations working again.

pecan in conversations works...

nope, live in the suburbs of a fairly large city.
Always get pretty good 3G signal normally. Just in the last week issues with my phone connecting have started.

Nope, not software issue. Flashed back to PR 1.2, switch the phone on and it gets the network fine, switch to offline mode then online mode again...and nothing.
This is annoying...

OK...after a bit of fiddling with settings -> phone i found if i set it to
Network selection: Automatic
Network mode: GSM
it connected to voda OK.
Auto and 3G: OK
Auto and Dual: No connection....

Well on vodafone UK the only way i can find out i have voicemail is if i set it to send me an SMS otherwise i get no notification at all :/
