Funny I did just that and still same problem.
Uninstalled using dpkg -r fuppes
opened x-term types sudo gainroot
then type dpkg -i filename.deb
then apt-get -f install
all installed again...

Thanks for that Festivalnut, however I am still having to type sudo gainroot to start the app otherwise it just comes up with the error i stated previously in this thread. Despite pressing a it still...

I have managed to set the folders etc okay, but still cannot start it without using sudo gainroot first or i get the error as someone else also does on the previous comments. Tried the "A" thing and...

Thanks, I can only get it to work if i type sudo gainroot forst or i get the above errors i put in my earlier post.
It is still not being seen by any other devices like media player etc. my laptop...

Ah just discovered something, I enter Sudo Gainroot before executing the app and it seems to work now, why have you get...

n900 media player keeps re-buffering?
Anyone else get this problem, half way through watching something it will suddenyl start re-buffering every few seconds, occasionaly it locks up completely while re-buffering and as it never seems ot...
