Thumbs up Re: Secret Exit to release games for N900

Very cool game, enjoying it. One possible bug / missing feature I've spotted is that the volume doesn't seem to respect the system volume level, I had to mute the music/sound in the game because no...

Re: Ovi Store Update

Maybe I am missing something but it's annoying that you can only buy something from the ovi using your phone even though its actually a credit card purchase. Would be handy to buy something using a...

Re: calendar skipps events after pr1.2

I've noticed this too, it actually seems like only the first 3 rows in the widget are upcoming events, in the 4th and 5th slot of the widget I have events for the end of the year. This morning I had...

Re: N900 silicon case review + retractable USB cable

I also got this case from Amazon, I thought it was terrible, didn't fit tight to the phone at all and flopped around all over the place. I'd imagine after a few days/weeks of usage it would get even...

Thumbs up Re: Angry Birds Levelpack back in OVI-Store

Ah, you might be onto something here. Maybe they don't support 3D Secure (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3-D_Secure) transactions, some banks in the UK require it and it was supposed to be mandatory...

Re: Angry Birds Levelpack back in OVI-Store

Won't let me buy it either, just keeps coming up with a payment error for my Mastercard.

(On UK firmware, maybe its not supported yet?)

Lightbulb Re: Nintendo 64 n900 , nintendo 64 maemo emulator

That's not the issue, it will likely not be as simple as someone building it and packaging it up. It will take some serious work to optimize it for any platform.

Have a read through this Pandora...

Re: Mini Projector to plug in to N900

Looks like the 3M one could work, though the resolution doesn't match, its VGA 640x480 instead of the WVGA 480 x 800 that the N900 is. It has RCA/composite connectivity though its A/V port.

The...

Lightbulb Re: Nokia promises N900 will get MeeGo! Or perhaps not.

I get the impression that the underlying OS version will not actually matter that much. Maemo 6 looked to mainly be a progression of Maemo 5, so I'd assume that if you are using the same libraries...

Thumbs up Re: Oolite port?

The issue with porting this is that it requires GNUStep and an Obj-C compiler. Spec-wise I don't see why it wouldn't run on an N900, we managed to port it to Irix before and it ran well on a 300Mhz...

Re: [HOWTO] Freeing up rootfs space

How about /var/lib/apt/lists?

23.6M on here at the moment, I'm guessing this is where the Application Catalogues store their information? could we not optify this too?

A feature or new app that I'd love along these lines would be to show the current send/recv of the interface. So you can see what your current active transfer rate is.
