The latter "only" being a proof-of-concept for the API itself.
(Btw, for me FCamera makes better pictures than the vanilla application...)

Just because some people feel underwhelmed by Nokia finally listening to our pleads to open source access to some of the hardware doesn't mean that the FCam news don't qualify as "exciting...

But saying that someone cannot be regarded a valid N900 user because they don't know about a kernel customised solely for overclocking...
