I've uploaded to extras-devel Game of life, an implementation of Conway's game of life (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conway%27s_Game_of_Life).
It's made in python and Qt.

I tried it, and it seems to run much slower than what i expect the N900 being able to do; any plans on optmizing the hell out of this thing?

That's actually expected. Certain conditions in the Game of Life can result in a pattern that will perpetually operate, while others will die. It's all based on the rules that determine whether or not cells live or die.
