i had problems with my n810 trying to download games.. applications.. etc.. because when i downloaded on my n810.. it tells me that other applications were required and stuff..

so.. i restored my n810 to have it clean and start from 0 (zero).
now my question is what do i have to download? things that i should download.. so my problem mentioned before does not happen again.

please help me~ and sorry for my bad english.

No offense, but you should post this on www.tabletscene.com

It was made for questions like this.

P.S. Your question is really vague, but its probably some dependency problem.

No one can help you if you don't describe the exact problem you have.

As someone already said, just post the same question in tabletscene.com

... or... to actually try to be helpful...

In the linux world (your tablet is running a flavour of linux), certain files used by software are called 'dependencies' - - the application depends on them to do what it does. Not all of the dependencies required come packaged with the file and must be downloaded elsewhere (in most cases they are written/maintained by another author, so it keeps things cleaner when updates come along).

In order to keep things clean, there is a 'repository' system in place. Each repository has a bunch of games, applications, etc. and knows what the dependencies are and where to get the files/libraries.

For a huge list of repositories for your tablet, go to http://www.gronmayer.com/it

Make sure you add the ones for your specific operating system, if you have the latest version of OS2008 on your tablet then it'll be 'diablo'.

Hope this clears up some of the confusion. And as they said above, Tablet Scene is a great place to get started. They're nicer than we are.

With all the crap repositories gronmayer is filled with, it's about the worst thing to recommend to newbies.

...which begs the question, then:

where is the list of non-crap repositories?

Maemo Extras
Testing Maemo Extras (with caution).
Maemo Tools/SDK (for dependencies, mostly. Use even more caution...).
Any applications you want that have custom repositories (Claws, FBReader, etc.)
Everything else: as needed.

All, IMO.

Mostly right, but the SDK repo should NEVER be used on the device unless you know EXACTLY what you're doing, and Extras-devel should be used with care.
