I imagine this is a FAQ but I haven't been able to find any help.

I have an N800 with Diablo & Comm.SSU. It has
Canola2 2.0.0-beta11-maemo3
There is an upgrade available:
Canola2 2.0.0-maemo1

but it won't upgrade because of "conflict with application packages":
lightmediascanner0-flac(0.3.0 maemo2)
lightmediascanner0-mp4
lightmediascanner0-ogg
lightmediascanner0-flac
libcore0-desktop (0.9.9.050+svn38845-maemo1)
lightmediascanner0-mp4(0.3.0 maemo2)
lightmediascanner0-ogg(0.3.0 maemo2)

How can I overcome this problem?

Have you looked at this thread?

Short version seems to be to run Canola Cleanup, and then do the update. Seems to have worked for me. Here's hoping this version will be more stable for me than beta11 has been lately.

Thanks. I did a search here for Canola but that thread did not make itself apparent.

No problem, I've been having problems with Canola myself and when I noticed that the version you had available was newer than mine I was hoping that might solve my issue. A general Google search for Canola2 2.0.0-maemo1 is what brought the thread to my attention.

So thank you for bringing this to my attention. I think the new version might have indirectly solved my problem by throwing an error that I was out of space on one of my memory cards that I had been trying to download to. I've cleaned that out and moved my downloads folder to a card with more room and have now run two days without problems, so crossing my fingers that this keeps up.
