Not sure if this is common sense for some folks, but it wasn't for me--

To get JoikuSpot to work after installing this latest version, you have to reinstall JoikuSpot. I already had JoikuSpot already installed (but not functional due to v46), upgraded to v47, and it still didn't work. Reinstall, and it's perfect now.

Okay, to clarify, Estel, and Tigerite:

I was able to upload new versions to -devel when I wasn't maintainer. I could not push it to -testing until I emailed the original maintainer and said, basically "*Psst* You forgot to make me the maintainer *here*". So when I pushed versions into -testing, I was already moved up to maintainer status.

Tigerite: You can push stuff to -devel without being maintainer, but you do need to be maintainer to promote packages down to -testing and extras.

At any rate, in this case, we're looking at more general bugs with the package interface for the repository, and the fact that the entire package import process is a bit issue-ridden.

Hello everybody,

i am new to power kernel but i want to use it. especially to try wl1251 wifi driver and packet injection.

But first of all i have a few questions to make sure that nothing goes wrong.

so here is my "setup":
Code:
$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras/ fremantle-1.3 free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/community-testing/ fremantle free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras-testing/ fremantle free non-free
deb http://people.debian.org/~ovek/maemo/ ./
Some Packages that i'm not sure how they interact with power-kernel
Code:
fcam-drivers 1.0.6-1
maemo 5 community ssu package 20.2010.36-2maemo15
are there any problems with power-kernel? or what packages have to be considered when they are installed?

To install power kernel i would do the following:

1. install kernel-power-settings with update manager
2. download and unpack bleeding-edge wl1251 driver
Code:
$ tar -zxvf wl1251-maemo-0.1.tar.gz
$ cd wl1251-maemo/binary/
$ cp -rf compat-wireless /opt
3. load the modules
Code:
$ /opt/compat-wireless/load.sh
would this work, or have i missed something important to get wifi driver to work?

thanks in advance

Lol at the top >.<

Maybe we could ask the TMO admin make a php grep like module for vbulletin wherein if someone posts here a reply with words like bq27x00, battery etc. an autoreply pops up

An update of the fcam drivers should fix it. That means either uninstalling every app that requires them and then installing them again or updating them explicitly. Are you sure you don't have another app installed that requires them? (It should have listed fcam as one of the packages to remove/install with blessn900 if it's the only one.)

ok
have double checkec - no other camera ap.
next should I install the kernel ( plus qcpu - whic is what i used before)
then install the apps
then do a apt-get update to get the new fcamera driver.
or is there a better method.

thanks
