@ssterjo
i use blue sky theme too
you can change the fonts color with theme customizer
or change the wallpapers

@Every one having the famous problem
mkdir: cannot create directory '/dev/cgroup/cpu/user/': Permission denied
-sh: cannot create /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/16346/tasks: nonexistent directory
-sh: cannot create /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/16346/notify_on_release: nonexistent directory

IMPORTANT: ONLY FOR PEOPLE HAVING THAT ERROR

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
here is how to solve it (i guess)

1-)first of all uninstall every thing using these instructions (just to make sure every thing is completely clean
--------------------------------------
rm /etc/event.d/speedpatch
rm /home/user/.profile
rm /usr/local/sbin/cgroup_clean
mv /root/.profile.bak /root/.profile
--------------------------------------

then reboot

2-)install the newest patch using these instructions (just download speedpatch to MyDocs then copy and paste the codes)
MAKE SURE YOU ENTER FIRST : sudo gainroot
then copy the rest and paste them (don't copy sudo gainroot / enter it manually)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
sudo gainroot
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

mkdir /usr/local/sbin
mv /home/user/MyDocs/speedpatch.tar.gz /home/user/
cd /home/user/
tar xzvf ./speedpatch.tar.gz
chmod +rwx speedpatch.sh
./speedpatch.sh
rm /home/user/.profile_root
mv transitions.ini MyDocs
rm speedpatch.sh
mv speedpatch.tar.gz /home/user/MyDocs
----------------------------------------------------------

PS: Ignore the error about /home/user/.profile not exists cause it will create it for the first time

3-)in the same x-terminal window
make sure that /etc/event.d/speedpatch is existed
if it was there then the patch must work on the next reboot

4-)REBOOT IMMEDIATELY !!!!! (DON'T OPEN A NEW XTERMINAL WINDOW UNTIL REBOOT)

5-)the error must be gone now after the reboot
check by opening xterminal window

6-) just to make 100% the patch is applied

cd /dev/cgroup/cpu
it should be in the directory

PS: if you are still having the problem then i can't help you anymore

PS2: @people having this problem
please post reply if it is solved

and me installing enhanced lockscreen doesn't help too
Sure missing the phone calls is not related to this script.
I think of missed calls as the benchmark. So far the script has improved missed call ratio. But not eliminated it.
If any further enhancement in Multitasking performance is needed it is there.
To grant full priority to the phone application.

karam

hmmmm... things are not as smooth as i can remember with your first few patches... even when i go online with 3 accounts, 5-7 browsers and other minor stuff, things are still ok and quite smooth...

now everything is smooth up until i go online with my accounts... sometimes it lags to the point where it almost crashes...

hmm... i'll see what happens in a few more days

@Dark_Angel85

if you can measure the smoothness of N900
(i mean if you have a lot of time testing it)

i will send you the older patch versions to test them and tell me the result
as i remember 1st version was perfect and it also works on a desktop PC
2nd version fixes the fill rc.local
3rd was made into a smaller script and adds patch to xterminal but doesn't work in a PC (HAVEN'T tested although)
4rd (the newest one) patches the /root/.profile (cgroups the xterminal in root)

so i will start sending you from version 2 then 3 then 4 (each one needs at least 3 hours of testing)
can you do that for me? because i have no time to test anything

Did you try the instructions i've posted in the previous page

if you did
then there is 0 chance that the patch doesn't get installed

Anyway i'm going to release a ERROR SOLVER VERSION
i will change the patch to separated parts and will post manual instructions to install it

i still get the errors.

i noticed that after entering:

Code:
./speedpatch.sh
it gave me an error.

however, after going back to copy paste all the steps again, without first removing everything, i did not get the error, just said patch complete with no error.

i have finished the commands and will reboot and report back.

ok...just rebooted and all is fixed.

fyi,

i copy/pasted all the data on the post, so no typo errors

i tried the same process uninstalling/reinstalling 2 times and both times with the same error.

the third time, i did the same copy/paste without removing first, and i did not get the error after the ./speedpatch.sh

my guess is that it has to do with that step.

seems fine now after the third time.
