There's ctorrent (command line torrent, dunno if it's any better than trasmission). And no there won't be. Diablo is the last official OS for the n8xx series tablets. Freemantle (the next OS) fixes and what not will be found in Mer (unofficial next OS).

How would one go about updating the Transmission client for Diablo?
The 1.34 client is very old now and many of the torrent sites I use have banned it.
I wouldn't even really need it hildonized just so long as it would work.
Any suggestions?
