the ideal profile has always been stable for me even at 1000 min and max.

last night when i put powerbias at 20, there was a random reboot when i was surfing... so far, that's the only one time it has rebooted.. going to continue to check if it's consistent... it is running now on:

Code:
# kernel configuration file generated by /usr/sbin/kernel-config
MINFREQ=500
MAXFREQ=750
FREQS="0:30,90 500:30,360 550:33,400 600:38,430 700:45,430 750:45,430 "
SMARTREFLEX_VDD1=1
SMARTREFLEX_VDD2=1
GOVERNOR=ondemand
IGNORE_NICE_LOAD=1
UP_THRESHOLD=75
SAMPLING_RATE=150000
POWERSAVE_BIAS=20
we'll see how well the battery lasts and if it causes anymore random reboots... so far, the performance of the device has at least been very satisfactory without any feeling of undervoltages or crashing

@Seker_94@mehulrajput
well test that
and ideal profile doesn't cause reboots for me

@mehulrajput
i think the voltages of that profile matches your N900 cpu
that doesn't happen to everyone
anyway will see how it goes

I got email and pidgin (easy-debian) version
and for other things
just like corduroysack
they only updates when i tell them too
i've disabled any other updates

PS: this battery tweak may not give 4 days to everyone
because it depends on how you use N900
but in general it does give a lot of extra time

"kernel-config show" shows the right value (thanks corduroysack), so everything as expected, except the battery percentage.
It's true that I have Sociality updating every 15 minutes, ZapLoc (connecting for 40s every half hour and sending location to Latitude every hour), email checking every hour, and raised brightness from 2 bars to 3 bars. On GSM and without switching off WLAN interface.

I have just noted that 0.7% ran out since last check 6 minutes ago or so (hell, another 0,1%). Something is sucking my battery power! Maybe I have to let all battery go away until I see something.

I'll run OptimizeN900 script, just in case there's something running badly...
look into optimize n900...i recently updated to the newest one and noticed battery drain issues. uninstalled it and my battery lasted much longer. dont know if thats the culprit but it seemed to be in my case.

i kept the default profile like it was before and edited the ideal profile as
# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE - CREATE A COPY OF IT FOR CUSTOMIZATION
# minimum frequency to use
MINFREQ=500
# maximum frequency to use
MAXFREQ=850
# list of frequency configurations: each "frequency:volt,dsprate"
FREQS="500:30,360 550:33,400 600:38,430 700:45,430 750:45,430 805:48,430 850:48,500 900:54,500 950:54,500 1000:60,500 1100:72,520 1150:72,520"
SMARTREFLEX_VDD1=1
SMARTREFLEX_VDD2=1
GOVERNOR=ondemand
UP_THRESHOLD=75
SAMPLING_RATE=150000
IGNORE_NICE_LOAD=1
POWERSAVE_BIAS=20

now will the battery drain stop?

no that won't
you need to change
MINFREQ to 250
and
MAXFREQ to 600

@trisha you should be able to overclock it. Make sure it is not over 805 when using smart reflex.

@seeker if ideal profile is crashing try using ulv or xlv. they are lower than default but higher than ideal profile.

from all of your previous post , it looks like that you reboot your phone much .
so rebooting does drain battery .
