Chicks tend to favor S2, Geeks tend to love their N900's

(to quote something i pick'd up several years ago, around the time of Vista's release)

win xp = great gf who cooks, cleans, doesn't cheat on you, plays sports with you, goes to car racing events, has a b cup.

vista = pmsing gf who doesn't cook nor clean, cheats on you, doesn't hang out with you, has a c cup.
...now go and substitute XP with N900 and Vista with S2.

well i don't mind a little lag. what i meant is it so laggy that it is unusable?

using n900 for almost 2 months now. didnt noticed any lag. even it gets better day by day if you try to customize it.

The only down side I would see for an S2 would be being at the carriers mercy for software updates, unless you dont have a problem rooting the phone and installing custom roms, I would go for the new nexus. Then as soon as andriod is updated you get the newest software.

If you ask like this, take the S2. And probably come back later. I would opt for an Siemens S45 instead. Light, small, firmware can be modded, and standby time is at least a whole week.
