Hey, just got an e-mail from Jolla; it appears that they will be offering a few more tablet "pre-orders", now that they are close to shipping. Here are some quotes from the message:

A limited batch of Jolla Tablets will be available for pre-order starting tomorrow, August 20, and we'd like you to know about it here first!
and

The pre-order prices will be 267€ and 299€ for the 32GB and 64GB versions respectively, including VAT 24% (prices will vary by country).

And, here's a blog posting for the new pre-orders:

They are being sold from the Jolla Shop:

EDIT: One more interesting bit of info from the blog:

Shipments for earlier Indiegogo contributors will start in early September, and shipments to pre-order customers from this phase are expected to start in the end of October.

Adobe Flash on mobile devices is dead and not even supported by Adobe for years.
Of course you could dig up ancient Android Flash apk's and an Android browser that can make use of it.

Are you sure that what you want is really Flash videos? HTML5 is the current standard for videos on the web, and used by most video platforms nowadays.

This post brings me nostalgia to the good old days back in '10 - '11 with recurring discussion briefly going like
"flash does not play..."
"who wants flash anyway, HML5 is the future..."
"ok, but I want to play video's NOW"
"tweakflash"

Since then I learned not to be demanding about mobile video playback.

So I would like to hear, regading HTML5, did the future really arrive or..?

my opensuse laptop will happily play pretty much anything on youtube, despite not having flash enabled.

so yes, i'd say the future has arrived.

no longer letting me select UK as a delivery address, does this mean the store has run out of pre-order devices?

It's just the BBC who are in the past and drive my requirement for get_iplayer and/or youtube-dl.
