I actually made the original post a couple of days ago.

I (as a regular user) did not (and still cannot) see it on the board, so I assumed that it was somehow lost in system and reposted it today.

From a regular user's view, this is just as weird. I see two posts by ibero, none of them thanked. Yet it says posts 2, thanks 1.

Hi Joerg, I have contacted contact@neo900.org but still no reply from them. Can you help to inquire from your side?

[QUOTE=joerg_rw;1481624]The first batch of N900 gets ordered this week for all those customers that did a "Neo900 complete device" preorder until then.
>> I believe I have donate 100 eur<< sound a tad concerning, please contact Neo900 UG (contact AT neo900 org) and provide as many details as you can share so we can sort out what's the status your contribution. Generally a Neo900 preorder is a total of 480 € for DOWN PAYMENT (partial payment) to the yet undetermined higher final price of the product (estimated 980.-€ NeoN bare board, ~130 € on top for the case incl slider mechanic and flex cable with front cam ALS, proximity detector, LCD, for digitizer, battery, accessories etc) - see above URL and http://neo900.org/estimate

That happened to me a few times too. Emails disappearing in the ether. It took me a while to realize it was probably a technical glitch and not the guys ignoring me. Just send it again if you do not get a response in a few days.

1000 Euro is really something many of us won't afford, especially in poorer countries (for example: in Poland it's 2.5 times as much as the minimal monthly pay and a even more than the average pay. And I know some people earn about 200 Euro per month)
In Venezuela the NeoN900's price is like 30+ time the minimal monthly pay.... You Poland people are rich

Alas this fundraising took too long to pick up the offer I had secured in February, our friend in China needs to find new offer for N900. Currently one week of holidays in China, so we hope to hear better news in 2 weeks. Probably it will take some time to find a source again that offers 200 or more devices.

some random detail updates:
we estimated needed PCB area of current design:
http://neo900.org/stuff/joerg/tmp/sizes-2015100503.txt
http://neo900.org/stuff/joerg/tmp/sizes-2015100503.pdf
Result: >>occupancy of about 65% of the available PCB space.<< [quote Werner]
[edit] correction factor for some duplicate or proto_only *) parts: 10980 - (910 + 269 + 396 + 241) = 9164mm^2 total. Some minor other stuff (e.g. around simmux) missing though [/edit]

Also Werner found a WLAN module that's around half the size (100mm^2) and price (<20 bucks) of the original TI module. http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/400/pdf-d...020-597584.pdf
Savings: obviously around 100mm^2 and 20 bucks

Kudos to Werner :-)

last and least I did a few checks about programming protocol for the greenpak3 (http://irclog.whitequark.org/neo900/2015-10-01) - you don't really need to understand those : http://maemo.cloud-7.de/snapshots/SL...-load-program/

[edit] Roadmap update: I currently hope we can finish proto_v2 layout and start building this month, so we get a few proto_v2 devices next month. (then test proto_v2 and start making proto_v3 during Nov/Dec) [/edit]

*) P3xxx 6* FH23-39S-0.3SHW, M901 M902 U902 WLAN total: -334.416 (for TDK), P3602 BEAGLEBOARD-XM-CAM, P3401 BEAGLEBOARD, U1902 RPM973 Ir-module
