I don't see anything dangerous looking in the openjazz remove scripts, but there's all sorts of cruft left in there so it makes it hard to know what all is going on.

Edit: It seems the other common factor is people willing to install about anything on their device. Is there anything else you have installed or done to the phone recently?

Classic example of arbitrary Nokia decision making. Couldn't just fallback to the no brainer of tagging with lat/lon if network isn't accessible, could you Nokia?

It happens to me yesterday too
I had to make opt symlink again and remove /home/home folder too.

But I'm the one who made openjazz and I can tell you it's not the problem.
Installed heroes2 too but I don't remember if it happes after or before that.
Everyone can download openjazz source and check it. The game has not any postinst or prerm or postrm script that copies or remove any file.
Maybe an update? I don't know

It would help if you would clean up the debian dir and scripts so we would know what is and is not actually being called.

Finding these in the openjazz debian dir isn't exactly encouraging.
emacsen-remove.ex
emacsen-install.ex
cron.d.ex
# Add here commands to install the package into debian/hexen2.

There are a few sketchy things going on with that package, but like i said, i don't see anything that could be expected to cause the problem described.

It would be a good idea to leave your new packages in -devel for a while before promoting them to -testing. That goes for any newly-packaged app. The idea is to not expose those willing to install from -testing to the new package bugs.

Yes, it's a little messed, cause I copied some things from hexen2 source to make it fast
But if you see the deb file, it doesn't has those scripts, they are useless in the source.

But I accept you help if you have the time

You don't need to specify "TO" if you are already in "/"

I understand, and nobody would have even noticed if several different people hadn't run into this problem shortly after installing it.

Anyway, i've looked through the openjazz source package again and can't see anything that obviously would do this, and its only depends are sdl1.2, so i don't have an explanation. Nevertheless it is one of the few common connections here and you said you encountered the same problem yourself, which really reinforces the possibility there's something not right there.

Have you tested installing and uninstalling openjazz? If it can be verified to be the problem we can at least get it removed to prevent others from having the problem while the cause is tracked down and fixed.

Hopefully the OP will have additional information.
